A Challenging Semester

Short semesters are always challenging. The classes are every day, which means we see the same people every single day and it can get tiring.

Whatever it is, life is always full of challenges. They are reminders for us to keep on pushing and working hard. There is not a minute that we can waste, having said that, it does not mean that we cannot take a breather and relax once in a while.

Learning and acquiring knowledge have their own obstacles and road blocks. As humans, we are created to be strong and we are 'packed' with will power in ourselves. However sometimes we tend to forget that.

Don't think that learning be it learning language or IT or Islamic subjects is difficult. Why not try think positively, think that you can, because when you do, things will be easy. Plus, now we have so many tools to help us learn better.

All the best!

Learning Made Easy

We all live in a connected world, where everything is interconnected and interrelated. The internet has made the acquiring of knowledge and information much easier. Those who understand the importance of this superhighway and are morally inclined are already on a fast track for self betterment.

There are now many ways to learn. We don't depend on printed media (books, magazines, newspapers) anymore because now we have ebook, ezines and online newspapers not to mention hundreds of thousands of other avenues to seek information online.

YouTube is a great concept and now you can view everything and anything under the sun by logging on to YouTube. Most of us like to watch video clips of our favourite singers or clips from our favourite shows or movies. Why not watch videos on Learning English for a change. If you put a bit of heart in this, I'm sure, you can at least understand what others are saying. Who knows, maybe in the future, the CEL lecturers will come up with our own Learning English videos. Nothing is impossible because everything is possible.

In The FINAL Moment

Final exam is finally here. The exam is made much more difficult with the hot and dry weather. But be patient my friends for patience is a great virtue, a trait belonging to great people. When you put in 150% efforts in your studies, Insya Allah, you will be rewarded with success.

Don't worry too much over your carry marks, just concentrate on your exam. As in everything that we do in life, approach this examination with determination and confidence. We must always have faith in ourselves because we human are given the ability by our Creator to face the most difficult situations.

We must take the responsibility as a student seriously and how do we do that? By making sure we know where and when our exam is. There are some of us who are not sure the venue or even the time for their exam, simply because they just don't care. This is a very bad attitude for anyone to have.

Time management is also very important. Last Saturday, I had two students who came late for the 3pm papers because they missed their buses. One girl said she came from Hang Tuah in KL and the road was congested and another boy claimed he was from Kajang. When you know you have important exam to take you should get out early to catch that bus and to avoid that traffic. It's very bad to get out at 2pm if you are from Kajang and you have a 3pm paper!

Another thing that we must make sure is our matric cards! You will not be allowed into the exam venues without the card. So, if you want to sit for your papers and not pay RM5, please bring the card with you.

We here at CEL wish you the best of luck!
